Treatment
Working title: feel the fizz
Genre: advert
Target audience: 13-25 years old male and female, I did a survey asking people if they liked Coca-Cola as well as some other things and 100% said yes, and some were under 18 and some were 19-25 years old. Also I have chosen 13- 25 age range because children are not usually aloud to drink fizzy drinks when their younger and adults don't tend to like fizzy drinks as I have noticed.
Outline: I will be walking casually then I trip and dramatically drop my can of coca cola in slow motion then camera angles will change slowly then begin to change faster and the song Nessun Dorma will be playing then it will all stop and I will be sitting down drinking the coke like it was a daydream. This is humour appeal which will hopefully grab their attention and make them spread it.
Character breakdown:
Name- Tristan
Age- 16
Race- White British
Gender- Male
Profession- student
Visual elements:
Lighting- casual light
Props- sofa, coke can
Camera angles- neutral view, low view
Editing- (premier pro)match cut
Audio elements:
Sound track- Nessun Dorma
Rationale: I chose this idea because I know I’ll be able to make the advert 30 seconds long and how I’m going to edit it and the different camera angles I will be using. Also coca-cola is very popular and I made my own survey and 100% liked it
Primary and secondary research: I have made a survey asking people if they liked coca cola and 100% who answered the survey said yes also I’ve researched loads of coca cola adverts and I haven’t seen one with my idea, so I know mine will be original and not copied.
Requirements and resources:
Crew- conor
Equipment- camera, tripod, microphone
Location- studio in the college of west Anglia (springwood TV)
Constraints and contingency: loss of footage, broken camera, injuries. To overcome loss of footage, record it again, if the camera breaks report it to springwood and go from there and if there are any injuries conor will get someone to help. To avoid the loss of footage back it up, to avoid the camera breaking make sure your holding it correctly or make sure it’s on the tripod properly and that its secure and to avoid injuries make sure you know what you are doing.
Legal and ethical considerations: To avoid copyright I'm going to make sure the music can be used in the advert I am making.
Proposed schedule: 18/11/2019 filming
